Liverpool won at Dingle Park

April 19, 1917
Over 1,000 spectators were present at Dingle Park to witness South Liverpool and Liverpool. The seniors won by the only goal scored (Harry Lewis). Aspinall struck the crossbar when close in, and Tommy Haughton saved a penalty kick taken by Owen Williams.

The home side tried hard to equalise. The game proved an interesting one. South Liverpool appreciate the kind action of the Liverpool directors in giving them the match.
