Thursday, May 3 – 1917
“Bee” has word from the South announcing that Jack Sheldon, the former Manchester United and Liverpool footballer has broken his leg during a match played by the Eastern Command School.

Alf. West, the former Liverpool back, has been in the same school as Sheldon, but has now returned to France.
