Football and charity


August 1, 1917
The Football Association has issued an official notice giving permission for matches to be played after August 15 next for war purposes and charities, provided the gross receipts are paid to war funds or charity funds. Clubs are reminded that under the regulation of the Football Association of July 19, 1915, neither cups, medals, or other rewards may be given or be competed for.
