Just as we go to press I have information that Bolton have whipped up an “extra special” side for Liverpool’s visit. Fay cannot make the journey to Hanley, so will help Bolton, who are further reinforced by the appearance, after his suspension, of Tom Buchan. Ted Vizard and Joe Smith have written stating definitely that they are using their leave-time to play against Liverpool.
