The subsidiary competition games proceed on their merry way today. While Southport, at Anfield, appear to have no chance of upsetting form at a glance, there remains the remembrance that Southport can go far and fare better than last week, and that Liverpool are not altogether reliable, when faced by the lowly club.
Southport expect to have the help of their best-known “head-pieces,” as will be seen by the team sheet given here: –
Liverpool: Billy Connell, John Page, Billy Jenkinson, John Bamber, Walter Wadsworth, Donald Mackinlay, Robert Waine, Thomas Green, Tommy Bennett, Harry Lewis, George Schofield.
