Tough struggle for Liverpool

April 12, 1918
Liverpool should have had a tough struggle at Stockport, but in view of Everton’s win one must look for the victory of the Anfield men. Stockport are amongst the most surprisingly uncertain teams I have studied. Their form at Everton was good enough for victory; at home they could not win. Yet, I “’specs” they will come  up “rough and ready” against Liverpool tomorrow, just to confirm the games in which Fred Fayers held Bennett right.
