Amputation for Bernard Pykett

June 4, 1918
Although not a local, many of us remember Bernard Pykett, the Ellesmere Port player, now No. 8602, B Block, Highfield Hospital, Liverpool. If you can spare a line to him he would appreciate it, for, after three years’ service in the Army he has had the misfortune to lose his right leg above the knee. He was a Notts County player, and only six months ago, when on leave, he helped the County in their match with Bradford City. All good wishes, Pykett.
