The annual meeting of the shareholders of Newcastle United Club was held last night under the presidency of Mr. J. Graham.
Mr. Frank Watt (secretary) submitted the annual report and balance-sheet, showing a loss of £812 on the year’s working. It was explained that notwithstanding repeated applications Bradford City had not yet paid the £1,200 agreed upon for the transfer of Albert Shepherd.
The reports were unanimously adopted.
Messrs. J. Graham, R.W. Mackenzie, J.P. Oliver, and Captain R Strother Stewart, the retiring directors, were unanimously re-elected, and Dr R.W. Simpson was elected to fill the vacancy on the directorate caused by the death of the late Mr. George T. Milne, to whose memory the chairman paid a sympathetic tribute.
