That’s a bright record for an N.U. player, who has only just turned his attention to Soccer football. Liverpool will be interested in the player – he is Ernest Boardman, the Leigh N.U. player, who has asked the Atherton forwards to “please, keep the ball on the ground when passing, as I know nothing of how to head the ball!”
Bolton have decided to give this 12st. 5ft. 10½in. player a run at centre against Liverpool on Saturday. Team: Jack Hodgkiss, Jimmy Nuttall, James Hodson, Tom Buchan, Alf Davies, M. Rutter, Jack Pickup, Jimmy Heathcote, Ernest Boardman, Wally Davies, Alf Winterburn.
