Winter draws on, and this time we shall have earlier timed of starting, the result being that team troubles, added to short train supplies, will come very much into the picture. Our teams should bring a double event, but to accomplish this Liverpool will have to play specially hard early on.
Last week they took their time ere getting the best of Bolton, and it must be remembered that the Wanderers had a new centre, and helped on the leading goal (2-1 the score became) through an error by a full back. Up to that point I was never satisfied that Liverpool were playing in their best order. The Wanderers makes but one change, and it is up to Liverpool to show more decision in the first half.
Liverpool: William Scott, Ephraim Longworth or Sam Speakman, Billy Jenkinson, John Bamber, Walter Wadsworth, Donald Mackinlay, Harold Wadsworth, Arthur Metcalf, Thomas Green, Harry Lewis, George Schofield.
