Liverpool at Port Vale

November 1, 1918
Liverpool, at Burslem, have a chance to return to winning ways, for, though Port Vale have been playing a shade above their former average, I do not see in their side a sufficient strength to keep Liverpool from getting goals.

Teams:
Liverpool. – William Scott; Sam Speakman, Billy Jenkinson; John Bamber, Walter Wadsworth, Donald Mackinlay; Harold Wadsworth, Arthur Metcalf, Tommy Bennett, Harry Lewis, Tommy Green.

Port Vale’s team is from: Hammond, Lyons, Captain Taylor, Holmes, H. Pearson, Arrowsmith, Spooner or Davies, A. Pearson, Blood, A. Smith, and Foster.
