The Manchester clubs have generally profited by the war-time arrangements in their engagements with their Liverpool rivals, but this season the City have had rather the worst of the bargain in their two games with the Anfield organisation.
At Hyde-road a fortnight ago the total receipts were £720, whereas at Liverpool on Saturday the takings of the return match, owing no doubt to the foggy weather, were only £580.
