Liverpool tell that on Saturday they play Schofield, who has now severed his connection with Southport Vulcan. There is no other change. The Liver reserve side bear the name of Matthews, a Knowsley forward of 6ft. 2in. in height, and 12 stone weight.
Captain George Latham, who has won the M.C. and bar, and had been three times mentioned in despatches, has written to Liverpool F.C., his old club, and says he is hoping soon to get back to his work as trainer of Cardiff City. Captain George Latham, trainer, sounds very funny, but Cardiff know what a valued servant he is, and he and they want to resume association.
