Christmas to a footballer is a time of joyful participation in football. Pleasure becomes work when one is given too much in a week, however, and so it is that footballers find Christmas and New Year time rather irksome. However, this being Peace Christmas, we shall doubtless see nothing but good, keen matches, and, as there are local “Derby” games at Goodison Park and Anfield, we may be assured that big crowds will attend and revel in the feast.
Liverpool’s team for to-morrow shows Robertson, the Harrowby boy, at half-back, instead of W. Wadsworth; otherwise there is no change.
Liverpool. – William Scott; Sam Speakman, Billy Jenkinson; John Bamber, Alex Robertson, Donald Mackinlay; Harold Wadsworth, Arthur Metcalf, Thomas Green, Harry Lewis, George Schofield.
Everton v. Liverpool, at Goodison Park, to-morrow (Xmas day), kick off 2.30. Admission 8d; boys 4d (including tax). Stands extra.
Liverpool v. Everton, at Anfield, on Dec 26 (Boxing Day), kick off 2.30. Admission 8d; boys 4d (including tax). Stands extra.

Note: Robertson is Alexander Harper Robertson, who played League football for Oldham Athletic and New Brighton after the war.
