Liverpool are not so well placed. They are hunting for a team, and you will have noticed that Burnley have gathered themselves together, and as compared with the side swamped at Anfield, they will have a vastly improved eleven. Dawson – Jerry of that ilk – returns to goal, but more important still is thee selection of Nesbitt at half back and Lindley as forward – a reversal of last week’s sheet, for Nesbitt was a winger and Lindley a half. The Burnley side reads splendidly, and I think Liverpool will have to play real good stuff to overcome their friend the enemy.
Teams:
Liverpool: William Scott, John Page, A.N. Other, John Bamber, Walter Wadsworth, Donald Mackinlay, Harold Wadsworth, Arthur Metcalf, John Miller, Harry Lewis, Reg Phillips.
Burnley: Jerry Dawson, S.O. Else, Billy Newton, David Taylor, George Thompson, Billy Nesbitt, Jim Bellamy, Dick Lindley, Bert Freeman, Teddy Hodgson, Billy Clarkson.
