Professional footballers are being demobilised, and the latest “returns” are wee Robert Waine and William Banks, both ex-Liverpool men. Waine, by permission of Liverpool F.C., will play at Dingle Park for South Liverpool on Saturday against the Prescot side. Banks will be remembered by Anfielders as the inside forward belonging to the Reds. Both are miners. Waine, by the way went to Germany – marched there, but not as prisoner.
