Liverpool’s chance of taking full pot

January 31, 1919
Liverpool, by playing a more open game than that which was all against the “going” last week, should not be troubled to beat off Manchester United. You will see that United have made changes in their forward line in the hope of giving Scott more work. But I think it will be found that Liverpool’s forward line will act well at Old Trafford, which is fashioned on the Liverpool ground “site.”

Teams:
Liverpool: William Scott, Ephraim Longworth, Billy Jenkinson, John Bamber, Alex Robertson, Donald Mackinlay, John Miller, Harold Wadsworth, Billy Matthews, Harry Lewis, George Schofield.

Manchester United: Jack Mew, Jack Silcock, W. Makin, Sam Cookson, Clarrie Hilditch, Tommy Meehan, Carr, Hubert Bourne, Wilf Woodcock, Len Langford, A. Ellis.
