The draw for the Lancashire Cup semi-final ties has been made as follows: –
Manchester City v Oldham Athletic. Referee: A. Ward (Kirkham); linesmen: J.H. Tattersall (Ramsbottom) and D.S. Brearley (Blackburn).
Blackpool v Liverpool. Referee: J.H. Alderson (Earlestown); linesmen: A.F. Kirby (Lostock Hall) and J.W. Whitehead (Blackburn).
The clubs agreed to toss for choice of grounds, and as the City and Blackpool won, the games will take place at Hyde-road and Bloomfield-road respectively on the 24th inst. It was decided that the charge for admission should be 1s., including tax. The final takes place on May 31, the arrangement for which have been left in the hands of a sub-committee.
There is every promise of two rousing games, for the clubs are intensely keen.
