Mr. Danny Kirkwood

May 24, 1919
The shareholders and other supporters in the Anfield camp are wondering whether Danny Kirkwood has been demobilised yet, and whether he could be persuaded to join the Liverpool board. What a grand asset he would be!

The syndicate “over the way,” with its dying breath, admitted that the greatest mistake it ever made was to out-vote with proxies his re-election to the Everton board after fifteen years’ work, unparalleled to the history of the club.

To parody Shakespeare: – “The evil that the syndicate did lives after them.”
