George Latham, the former Liverpool player and Welsh international, has just been demobilised and reinstalled as trainer with Cardiff City, a club to which George Beare (ex-Everton) is attached. Latham joined up in the early days of “the duration,” and soon distinguished himself on the field of battle, thereby winning promotion and later the M.C. (Military Cross). He eventually rose to the rank of captain.
