Liverpool’s choice

August 14, 1919
The Liverpool directors for their game (5 p.m. start), on Monday, have selected the following teams, which must not be construed into “First” v “Second” – the men have been made into sides without any suggestion of classifying them at the moment. Mr. Forshaw, of Birkenhead, will line up the following sides: –

Reds: Kenneth Campbell, Ephraim Longworth, Robert Pursell, Harry Lowe, William Lacey, Donald Mackinlay, Jack Sheldon, Harry Chambers, Fred Pagnam, Tom Miller, Albert Pearson.

Stripes: Elisha Scott, Sam Speakman, Billy Jenkinson, John Bamber, Walter Wadsworth, Frank Checkland, Harold Wadsworth, Dick Forshaw, John Miller, Harry Lewis, Arnold Dagnall (Prescot player).
