The Football League has arranged to play a benefit match at Turf Moor, Burnley, on September 22 in aid of the fund started by the Burnley club for the widow of Teddy Hodgson, their international forward, who died in Whalley Military Hospital recently. The team which will represented Lancashire and will oppose Burnley is: –
Jack Mew (Manchester United), Billy Cook (Oldham Athletic), Eli Fletcher (Manchester City), Albert Walmsley (Blackburn Rovers), Joe McCall (Preston North End), Allan Grenyer (Everton), Bobby Turnbull (Bradford), Harry Chambers (Liverpool), Ernie Gault (Everton), Joe Smith (Bolton Wanderers) and Peter Quinn (Blackpool).
The Burnley Club will be relieved from any expense in connection with the match.
