A wedding, which aroused considerable local interest, was solemnized at the St. John’s Church, Chapeltown, the contracting parties being Miss Beatrice Olive Sanderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Sanderson, of Mafeking Place, Chapeltown, and Mr. Rabbi Howell, son of Mr. Rab Howell, of Preston, the former well-known Sheffield United right half-back.
The bride was given away by Mr. Edward Fulleylove, of Chapeltown, and Mr. J.F. Farnsworth, of Clay Cross, Derbyshire, officiated as best man. Three bridesmaids were in attendance.
After the ceremony a reception was held in the Lound Side School, Chapeltown.
