South Shields in the FA Cup

The following is the draw in the first round of the English Cup, to be played on the ground of the first-named club, the kick-off to be at 2.30 p.m., on 10th January next: –

South Shields v. Liverpool.
Manchester City v. Clapton Orient.
Luton Town v. Coventry.
Newport v. Leicester City.
Notts County v. Millwall.
Bradford City v. Portsmouth.
West Bromwich v. Barnsley.
West Stanley v. Gillingham or Swansea Town.
Bolton Wanderers v. Chelsea.
Northampton or Bristol Rovers v. Tottenham.
Blackpool v. Derby.
Sunderland v. Hull City.
Southend v. Sheffield United.
Port Vale v. Manchester United.
Fulham v. Swindon.
Thorneycroft v. Barnsley.
Aston Villa v. Queen’s Park Rangers.
Southampton v. West Ham.
Newcastle United v. Crystal Palace.
Birmingham v. Everton.

At a meeting of the English Association yesterday it was decided to play the English Cup final at Stamford Bridge.
