The following teams have been chosen to take part in the first English trial at West Bromwich next Monday: –
England – Sam Hardy (Aston Villa); Dickie Downs (Barnsley) and Jesse Pennington (West Bromwich Albion); Andy Ducat (Aston Villa), Joe McCall (Preston North End), and Arthur Grimsdell (Tottenham Hotspur); Jack Sheldon (Liverpool), Charlie Buchan (Sunderland), Jack Cock (Chelsea), Fred Morris (West Bromwich Albion), and Alf Quantrill (Derby County).

South – Arthur Reynolds (Fulham); John Elvey (Luton Town) and Arthur Knight (Portsmouth); Bert Smith (Tottenham Hotspur), Frank Barson (Aston Villa), and Percy Barton (Birmingham); Jack Crisp (West Bromwich Albion), Bert Bliss (Tottenham Hotspur), Syd Puddefoot (West Ham United), Dick Sloley (Corinthians), and Bert Davies (Swindon Town).
Reserves to travel – Billy Ball (Birmingham), Sammy Richardson (West Bromwich Albion), and Clem Stephenson (Aston Villa).
