A case of considerable interest to football spectators came before Registrar Alleyne Brown at Liverpool County Court on Thursday, when Mr. Robert Biden McCullock sued the Liverpool Football Club, Ltd., for 3s. The plaintiff appeared in person, but the football club were not represented by council, nor did they put in an appearance, the claim being admitted.

Plaintiff’s case was that the he paid 7s for two seats at the Anfield ground, which seats were not available on admission to the ground, and alternate accommodation was found in the paddock seats, which were 2s each, and the claim was for the return of the balance.

This plaintiff proved that 3s was due, and the Registrar made an order for the payment of the amount claimed with the usual costs. The money was immediately paid into court.

It is rumoured that many other claims of a similar nature are pending.
