Mr. W.H. Williams has been re-elected chairman of the Liverpool board for the ensuing year, and Mr. John Asbury vice-chairman. Donald Mackinlay has, I am told, been reappointed captain – a popular move – and players report for duty a day earlier than I announced the other day, in order to allow the annual club picnic being held on August 2. Practice games are to be held on Saturday, August 12, and on Wednesday, August 16.
Latest information to the issue of season tickets is that a limited number will be procurable at the same price as last year, £2 10s., including tax.
