At a meeting of the League Management Committee, at Liverpool, yesterday, the following team was chosen to represent the English League against the Irish League at Bolton on October 4th: – Pearson (West Bromwich Albion); Clay (Tottenham Hotspur), Maitland (South Shields); Kean (Sheffield Wednesday), Walter Wadsworth (Liverpool), Meehan (Chelsea); Carr (Middlesbrough), Jack (Bolton Wanderers), Roberts (Preston North End), Ben Cross (Burnley), Dorrall (Aston Villa).
Reserves: Jimmy Seddon (Bolton Wanderers) and Woodhouse (Preston North End).
