The request of Neil McBain, of Manchester United, to be placed on the open-to-transfer list has been granted, and competition for him has begun. Aston Villa and Everton have made offers for him, and it is probable that he will be transferred speedily.
McBain is not in the United team to meet Bradford City, neither is he chosen first reserve, nor for the reserve eleven this week-end. Whichever club gets McBain will be able to play him in the Cup-ties if they be still in the competition.
