James Dawson transferred to Bo’ness

January 18, 1923
In view of their coming Scottish Cup tie with the Hearts, Bo’ness are adding to their strength. Their latest acquisition is James Dawson, who is capable of filling the position of half-back or forward. He has had experience in St Bernards, Alloa, and latterly St. Mirren. His display with Alloa at Newtown Park last season impressed the Bo’ness directors very favourably.

Dawson will play against King’s Park on Saturday, and opportunity will be taken then to give one or two of the Bo’ness players a rest. Local feeling is all in favour of Bo’ness sticking to their ground advantage for the Hearts tie, should an offer be made. The directors are to convene a meeting of the shareholders.
