Another important signature has been secured by Derby County, who have succeeded in getting the transfer from Liverpool of Charles Pearson, the reserve goalkeeper. Twenty-four years of age, he played with Southwick in the Wearside League, and then with Chester-le-Street in the North Eastern League. During his two and a half seasons with Liverpool Scott has never been out of the first team, so that Pearson has had no chance in the first-class football though he put in great efforts, and even made a good show at outside left. Standing 5ft 10½ins., he weighs 11 stone.
