Liverpool don’t exactly wear a crown these days. The memory of their two championship seasons has not yet faded, but their management is extremely anxious about the future. Last week they were without Tommy Lucas, who has suffered a family bereavement; Archie Rawlings, who is ill in bed; and Harry Chambers, who is still nursing a cartilage knee. Liverpool have struck bad luck.
