The death has occurred of Mr. John T. Atkinson, who played a large part in the development of football on Merseyside thirty years ago. He was on the committee of the Everton club when it was located at Anfield Road, and he became a director when the club was floated as a public company. He retired from the directorate many years ago, but always kept up his interest in the club. He was also keenly interested in cricket and athletics.
