Brighton and Hove Albion: Pat Gilgun, inside right (East Stirling), Tommy Mackay, inside right (St. Mirren), Albert Hunter, full back (Sheffield United).

Hull City: Ellis Jones, inside forward (Spennymoor United), Alf Horne, outside right (Stafford Rangers);

Grimsby Town: John Pugsley, half back (Cardiff City), Charles Evans, half-back (Northampton Town);
