Willie Chalmers transferred to Tranmere Rovers

June 11, 1925
On Thursday Willie Chalmers, the ex-Aberdeen Tramways outside left was signed by Tranmere Rovers, a club in the Northern Section of the Third Division of the English League. Chalmers, who was last two seasons with Liverpool, and made several appearance in the first eleven, is at present home on holiday in the city. It is understood he has got very satisfactory terms from the Birkenhead club, which is building up a strong team for next season. Mr. Cook, the Rovers manager, travelled specially to Aberdeen to sign him. Reading and Southport were keen on securing the player.
