John Lillie cannot get a foot in

February 19, 1927
So well served are New Brighton at full back that John Lillie, a Tynesider, has never had a chance in their League side this season, despite the fact that he is a player of experience. He started his career in the Northern Alliance with Prudhoe Castle, and had two seasons with Liverpool, and one each with Queens Park Rangers and Clapton Orient before going to his present club last summer.
