Dundee have engaged nineteen players of whom four are newcomers, all of whom have yet to prove their ability in senior football.
The outstanding name not carried forward from last season is that of David Thomson, the back who has played brilliantly for the club for many years. Thomson is, of course, approaching the veteran stage in football, but it will not be surprising if “Napper,” as he is familiarly termed, plays again. Hugh McGinn, who did good service at outside right, had the misfortune to break a leg in a benefit match at Aberdeen a few nights before the end of the season, and has not fully recovered.
The juniors signed are R. Kearney (Kirkintilloch Rob Roy), J. Taylor (Strathclyde), J. McNeil (Yoker Athletic), and W. O’Hare (Dalkeith Thistle).
