Liverpool F.C., who play a trial game under Referee Forshaw’s control next Saturday – only one match is being played owing to the ground alterations – have decided upon the following teams: –
Liverpool Reds: Elisha Scott, Tommy Lucas, Donald Mackinlay, John McNab, James Jackson, Tom Bromilow, Dick Edmed, Gordon Hodgson, William Devlin, Harry Chambers, Fred Hopkin.
Liverpool Stripes: Arthur Riley, Robert Done, Ephraim Longworth, James Miller, William Cockburn, David McMullan, Cyril Oxley, Jimmy Walsh, Tommy Reid, Tom Devlin, George Pither.
Liverpool’s first team is “the old firm.” The second team shows Miller, a cute half-back, who was tried last back end; also Oxley returning to the frey, fit and well.
