John Lindsay, an ex-Bowhill footballer who was for a time with Partick Thistle, where he received a knee injury that threatened to terminate his football career, has been transferred from Rhyl Athletic, along with Tom McNeil, an ex-Inverkeithing player, to Liverpool.
Aston Villa, Birmingham, Cardiff and Sunderland were in the market for the services of both players also. The transfer fee was close on £2,000. Lindsay has scored over 60 goals for the Welsh club this season.
