Liverpool F.C. target David McCrae

Sunday, April 29 – 1928
I am informed that Liverpool, a few days ago, made inquiries about the possibility of scoring David McCrae, the St. Mirren centre. The reply, I believe, was non-committal, but secretary George Paterson, of Liverpool, is a tenacious official, and he will be back in Paisley ere long.

McCrae is a punchful leader, and a player who would fit in readily to English football., in which his brother, Jimmy, did well. I wonder whether McCrae would like to wait a little and accompany his present manager to Sunderland.
