Four of the original professionals who played for Bristol City in their first year of renouncing amateurism 30 years ago are still in business in Bristol, in Tommy Wyllie, Paddy O’Brien, Billy Jones (the first Bristol pro. ever to get an international cap.), and Jock Hamilton, as also is Sam W. Hollis, the first City manager, and Dick Batten, the first City trainer.
