Alex Raisbeck hand in his resignation

Wednesday, July 17 – 1929
Mr Alex Raisbeck, the Bristol City secretary-manager, has handed in his resignation to the directors, and will sever his connection with the club. This surprise announcement was made yesterday, and Mr George Jenkins (chairman) states that the resignation had been accepted, with regret.

Mr Raisbeck has been with City since December, 1921, and came to the club from Hamilton Academicals, of which he was a director. Asked in an interview whether he had a new appointment in view, Mr Raisbeck said he had no statement to make as yet.
