I understand that William Salisbury, the ex-Partick Thistle outside left, is anxious to return to Scotland. “Sally” is still a fine player, and would be a useful man to any club, but I am just afraid that the £500 fee which Liverpool are asking for him will make it difficult for him to find a club. If no offers are forthcoming for his services between this and the opening of the season I should not be the least surprised if Willie crossed the “pond” to sample American football.
