Archie Macpherson, whom Glasgow Rangers secured from Alva Albion Rangers last March, has not stayed long at Ibrox. He was transferred on Saturday to Liverpool, and was not, therefore, available for the match against Ayr United.

Liverpool have signed Archie Macpherson. And he is a Ranger. A Glasgow Rangers, a reserve player, it is true, but only through the ability of McPhail. The news slipped through yesterday, although Mr. George Patterson only made the signing this morning.
He is a “find” in the words of my Scottish correspondent, who says that his height is 5ft. 8ins., his weight ten-ten. A number of clubs were after him, and Liverpool never dreamed they would get him when negotiations were opened.
Macpherson can play inside left or inside right.
