David Davidson transferred to Newcastle United

January 31, 1930
David Davidson, the Liverpool centre-half back, has been transferred to Newcastle United at a fee stated to be £4,000, and he will play against Huddersfield tomorrow. Newcastle will thus have two notable pivots on their books, the other being Jack Hill, the former Burnley and Plymouth Argyle player. There have been several statements to the effect that Hill wants to leave the North-east.

Does this foreshadow his departure?
