Leslie Bruton, Blackburn Rovers’ well-known centre-forward, was to-day transferred to Liverpool. A native of Coventry, Bruton played for Southampton, Peterborough, and Raith Rovers before joining Blackburn in 1929. Last season Bruton scored 18 goals in 24 League games and five in Cup-ties. During the present campaign he has made only two appearances for the senior team, although, in the Central League side, he has obtained 14 goals in 13 games. (Nottingham Evening Post, 11-02-1932)
