Archie Macpherson 78 and not out


Monday, June 27 – 1932
Playing for the Alloa XI of Clackmannan County against Westquarter at the Arns, Alloa on Saturday, Archie Macpherson, the Tullibody lad who plays for Liverpool F.C., participated in a big scoring partnership. After Westquarter had been dismissed for 104, Archie, who was one of the Alloa XI’s opening pair, lost his first partner at 6, but thereafter, along with G.B. Reid was out lbw for a score of 71. Archie played on to carry his bat for a score of 78 not out.
