St. Helens Recreation Rugby Club has signed on the Rhyl goalkeeper, William Fairhurst, as the loose-forward or full-back for the Rugby team. Fairhurst is a native of St. Helens, and some few years ago was one of the schoolboy champions, and played in the county team with W. Greenall, the Recs present half-back.
He has played Association for Liverpool and Wigan Borough, and also acted as goalkeeper for Rhyl. He is well-known in South Lancashire football circles, and has decided to return to the Rugby game.
