George Patterson scouting in Scotland

Monday, November 21 – 1932
Invasions into Scottish territory are getting more frequent. While Liverpool were beating Derby minus the aid of Daniel McRorie and Archie Macpherson, Manager George Patterson was north of the Tweed scouting for a full back and a centre, the latter position one of dire need despite Hodgson’s temporary success. Peter Hodge, of Leicester, also travelled north, and a defender was his object.
