Hereford United yesterday secured Harry Chambers, the former Liverpool, West Bromwich Albion, and English international, who for the past two seasons has played for Oakengates.
The transfer is due to the precarious financial position of the Shropshire club, who notified the United at the end of last week that they could not afford to continue to pay Chambers’ wages, and that if he were not transferred they would be unable to fulfill their engagement at Hereford next Saturday.
